The District 622 School Board will appoint a temporary school board member to serve from August 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022, until the position can be filled in the general election. The appointment is necessary due to a current board member resigning, effective July 31, 2022, due to moving out of the district.
The position will be on the general election ballot on November 8, 2022, with a start date of January 1, 2023. The term will be for two years. The position will return to a four-year term in the 2024 election.
